The Tri-County Council for the Lower Eastern Shore of Maryland, Shore Transit Division

(Shore Transit), operating the regional public transportation system in Somerset, Wicomico, and Worcester counties is holding a public hearing to provide citizens a forum to present views on a proposal regarding major service changes for Fixed Route and Origin to Destination service.

Proposed Changes include:

Fixed Route Changes:

Route 120 - Suspended. Paratransit ADA service will be impacted by these changes.

Route 706 - Slight reduction in number of trips per day, stops served, and scheduled times. Operates Monday - Friday ONLY. Paratransit ADA service will be impacted by these changes.

Route 253 - Slight reduction in number of trips per day. Service ends earlier.

Route 115 - Suspended. Paratransit ADA service will be impacted by these changes.

Route 199 - Suspended. Paratransit ADA service will be impacted by these changes.

*New Route* 116 - A combination of routes 115 and 199. Operates Monday - Friday. Service hours are between 7am - 5:15pm. Not all stops currently served on Routes 115 and 199 will continue to be served.

Paratransit Changes:

Changes in service parameters under the funding sources 5311 and SSTAP include (but are not limited to) the following: limited availability of rides, limited days and hours of service, changes to subscription service and early scheduling and number of trips allowable per day.

If you would like to make a comment but are unable to submit your comment in writing, voice recorded comments are also being received. Simply call the Shore Transit office at 443-260-2300 and select the option for public hearing comments. Customer Service Representatives ARE NOT responsible for receiving public comment. The comment must be recorded on the designated voicemail box. Please listen carefully when calling and choose the correct option.
