NOTICE OF OPPORTUNITY FOR A PUBLIC HEARING

The Tri-County Council for the Lower Eastern Shore of Maryland, Transit Division (Shore Transit), operating community transit services in Somerset, Wicomico, and Worcester Counties is offering the opportunity for a public hearing to provide citizens a forum to present views on the following proposals:

  1.  FY 2013 Annual Transportation Plan (ATP).  The ATP contains requests for operating funds from the following programs:

 

·   the Statewide Special Transportation Assistance Program (SSTAP) which provides funds for transportation of elderly persons and persons with disabilities in Wicomico and Worcester counties;

·   the Section 5311 of the Federal Transit Act which provides funds for general public transit service in rural areas;

·   the Section 5307 of the Federal Transit Act which provides funds for general public transit service in urbanized areas;

·   the State Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) program which provides funds for federally-required paratransit services for persons with disabilities.

  1. In addition capital funds will be requested for the following items:
